Bianca Alexandra Zogbi
Founder of BUDA, Bianca Alexandra Zogbi is a native to Marin. She has been dancing ever since she can remember. She loved being involved in dance throughout high school, but became more serious at College of Marin, where she received more intensive training in various styles such as ballet, modern, and jazz, performing in various dance shows as both a dancer and choreographer. This is where she fell in love with the art of hip hop.
She received her AA in Dance and was presented with an opportunity to teach at Marilyn Izdebski productions, which then became 23 Elephants, as their hip hop instructor. From there Bianca went on to expand her knowledge and experience by joining numerous dance teams in the Bay Area. She was part of Funkanometry, Live San Francisco, and even received Bachata training as a member of Inessence Dance Company and Bachata Fever Academy. She went on to join Santa Rosa’s competitive dance teams, Auxiliary and Fallout, as one of the lead female choreographers and was given the amazing opportunity to travel to South Korea to perform at the Juju Fire Festival.
At the end of 2017, Bianca was introduced to the art of Krump and instantly felt a connection to it. She traveled to meet and learn from the creators and pioneers of Krump, and had the honor of receiving the name, 'Lady Merci'. She proudly promotes female empowerment and encourages the next generation of female dancers to dance how they feel. She continues to travel, battle, and study the art of Krump to become the best she can be with the goal of ultimately passing on the knowledge to grow the movement in Marin County.

Community is important to Bianca and in 2018, she and her partner, Kyle 'Yurok' Mitchell created the dance event called Groundwork. Groundwork provides an opportunity for people from all over the Bay to come together, promoting the culture and community of all freestyle dance. There are showcases, battles, and good vibes shared by all.
